General Questions

How do I get another copy of my card?

Try these! Text the word ecard (no dashes) to 51736 and click the link!

Or use this link and enter your name and email. https://ecards.heart.org/student/myecards

The name, cell number or email must match what you signed in with for your class as that is what was entered into the AHA database.

What forms of payment do you take?

We accept cash, debit/credit cards, Venmo, Zelle, and Apple Pay.

Help I'm about to expire!

We offer a lot of classes! If you need it within the next day or two and we don’t have a class on the calendar, consider online with a skills check or asking for a private class.

Do you do private classes?

Yes, we can do private classes for an additional charge. Private classes do often go faster than a non-private class and may be a great option for a busy schedule.

What is the difference between CPR and BLS?

Basic Life Support is the skills of CPR/AED/chocking and scene safety.  The terms are often used interchangeably, but CPR or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, is one of the skills in BLS.

How are cards issued?

The AHA moved to ecards a few years ago. You’re name, email and cell phone will be entered into the AHA database at the end of class and should be immediately available. You will be sent an email from eCards@heart.org. This is one of the three ways you can claim and print/email your cards.  You can also text ecard to 51736 or use this link. If your class is someplace where internet connectivity is an issue or the AHA website is undergoing maintenance, there might be a delay.  This is rare but possible.

I have special needs, can you help?

All classes require some degree of physical mobility to demonstrate compressions or other skills.  Please discuss your concerns with us before class and we will do our best to come up with a solution.

What if I don’t pass?

It’s rare, but we all have those moments where life got in the way and we ended up distracted, anxious, or unprepared. We will work with you up to two more separate occasions at no additional cost to help you feel confident in your knowledge and skills.  If you show the desire to learn, then we will be successful!

What if I need more practice?

If you have taken our class you are welcome to come back and audit that course anytime for the next 2 years for free.  We truly want you to feel confident!

I need this class but am having a financial hardship. What are the options?

We don’t want payment to be an obstacle to your education.  Please email us and we will work out a payment plan with you.

Do I have to have a book?

Books are an AHA requirement, but you are welcome to borrow from a friend, hospital library, download, buy used, etc.  We know they can be expensive on top of the cost of the class.  Again, if finances are tight, let us know and we can help you find one to borrow.  If you love the references and want your own copy? Go to https://shopcpr.heart.org/ you can buy them in paperback or ebook.

Do you offer group discounts?

Yes, if you have a group of 10 or more depending on the course, we will give you a discount based on the number of students that attend.  We offer individuals and groups a discount if they combine classes as well.

About Our Services

About half of our courses are out and about in the community. Smaller courses are held in-house. Although it can seem strange to go to a residence, it is set up as a great classroom and very professional. For groups of 6 or more we can come to you.
